Quick take best low light lenses for nikon.
Low light lenses nikon.
My top 10 low light lens choices have been based on a number of factors.
While it is not as sharp as the nikon 70 200mm f 2 8 and has a slower and non constant aperture the 70 300mm provides a great option for someone looking to get a good telephoto lens for less than 1 5 th the price of the 70 200mm especially if you don t require the low light capabilities of its more expensive cousin.

Great lense for low light much better than my 18 140mm kit lens from nikon even though i love my 18 140mm lens this is way better in bokeh and a lot clearer in detail for the same type photo as i compared them myself today when i bought it to make sure i never bought a prime lens before but now i am a believer in them.
Seeing a gorgeous bird in flight is awe inspiring but it can be difficult to translate that beauty into a photo.
Capturing stunning images of birds is not easy and you definitely need the right lens to be able to do it.
Shooting at an aperture of f 1 8 i was able to use a shutter speed of 1 125 in this nighttime portrait illuminated.
Nikon 70 200mm f 2 8g ed vr ii.
The nikon 20mm f 1 8 is another solid nighttime lens in fact by the light it allows this one is almost a stop better than the 14 24mm f 2 8 or 15 30mm f 2 8 options though it doesn t have the same depth of field.
The nikon 35mm f 1 8 lets in enough light to get sharp images even in low light.
Top comment real easy to use good lens for dx.
I have tested the nikon d850 with both prime and zoom lenses and i can say with confidence that its low light af performance is stellar better than on any other nikon dslr i have used to date with the exception of other high end dslrs like nikon d500 and d5 that also have similar low light sensitivity in the center focus point.

The latest sensor technology such as bsi cmos sensors give an advantage here as do cameras.

While some of the best lenses for shooting in low light are course quite expensive zeiss superspeeds for example there are some fantastic options that are reasonably priced and particularly well suited to shooters that use dslrs or interchangeable lens camcorders.
For low light photography you need a camera with a large sensor and bright lens f 1 2 f 1 4 f 1 8.
