Lux Level Sensor

In photometry this is used as a measure of the intensity as perceived by the human eye of light that hits or passes through a surface.

It is equal to one lumen per square metre. Lx is the si derived unit of illuminance measuring luminous flux per unit area. Lux light level adjustment. This is a nice simple non dimmable pir sensor available in an ip20 recessed version or an ip44 surface mount version. As well as motion detection the sensor allows light level control which will operate from total darkness up to 65 000 lux. The light level adjustment controls the amount of natural light that starts operations and stops the motion sensor light from triggering when the sun is up.

The sensors are typically used to monitor external lighting levels to optimise energy efficiency through dimming and or disabling lights as required. The external light level sensors return a linear 0 10vdc signal representing the lux level at the photo diode cell based on the selectable lux levels.
